A 1930's piece set near the border of Mexico during a period when the Mexicans were persecuting Catholic priests. One demented man that follows the lead of the Mexican government is the mayor and barber of this small, southern Texas town. This is the story of the last priest in town, who is a drunk, and is tired of running and hiding from the authorities. Much to everybody's surprise, he comes to the barber instead of the other way around. The two proceed to discuss the difference in their world views as we watch the intense scene play out and wonder how it's all going to end.
